Arthritis confined to only one compartment of the knee Strong, intact ligaments (especially ACL) Good knee motion and alignment
Duration: 45–60 minutes under spinal or epidural anesthesia Smaller incision, less bone and soft-tissue removal
Walk with support: 1–2 days Return to desk work: ~2 weeks Low-impact sports: ~6 weeks Full recovery: ~8–10 weeks
